I get it! As a first timer, waxing can be scary and intimidating. Asking some questions to calm the nerves and to feel more comfortable is completely normal. Here is a list of commonly asked questions for you that may help you start your waxing journey!

You should ideally wait 4-6 weeks since your last shave to book a Brazilian wax. The longer the hair, the easier it is for the wax to grab onto the hair = cleaner results aka minimal tweezing!
Under arms are a different story. 1 1/2 - 2 weeks growth of hair growth is ideal for an underarm wax service.

Yes! it is completely based on your own comfort and pain levels. There may be heightened sensitivity a couple days before, on and freshly after a cycle so please book accordingly.
If you started or are on your cycle, please come in with a fresh tampon or cup/disk and we should be good to go!

The ideal length of hair to hair is approximately 1/2 of hair (4-6 Wks of growth). If you are not a shaver or a trimmer girly, no worries at all I will trim it for you prior to starting the service!
Avoid trimming on your own as you may trim too short which could hinder the effectiveness of the wax.

The first time can be the scariest. Waxing involves direct hair removal from the follicle, you can feel uncomfortable during the service but nothing that you can not handle.
The nerves of the first wax heighten the anxiety and thoughts, but once you get through the first one it becomes easy peezy lemon squeezy!

There is a 15 minute grace period. For example, if your appointment is at 10am and you are stuck in traffic, you have until 10:15am to make it to your appointment. Please make sure to communicate with me if you are late so I can expect your appointment! If you are past the 15 minutes, we can go ahead and reschedule to the soonest date.

It's super simple! Exfoliate and moisturize. Be sure to avoid the 5 S's for the next 24-48 hours (sweat, sea, sauna, sun and sex) and don't worry, I go into depth with aftercare during the appointment so rest assured!

You may feel a little sore and inflamed for the next 24 hours with some pin point bleeding which is all super normal! Wear loose clothing for the rest of day, chill at home and everything should settle down.

I highly discourage you to use any type of numbing cream has it may hinder the performance of the wax. You may consult with your physician to take any type of pain relief pills that do not have any blood thinning properties. Please use medicinal options at your own discretion.
